~Fred Wood started the week off well with the sun shining and 2 good sized rainbows, one weighed in at 3lb8oz and was caught on an orange egg fly,his second fish was caught on a red spider.Dave Glover landed 6 on his catch and release ticket, Hughie Wilson also on catch and release caught 6 fish using White minky and damsel flies from across all pools. Steve Mogg caught 8 ,Colin Gooch 7, Alan King had his bag limit of ten, including 2 blues,which he caught from the gin pool on black daddies and small black buzzers, Garry Wharton with a great catch of 7 across all pools caught on black spiders and yellow blobs, Paul Elsworthy caught 8 on damsel flies and Hares ear sedge, Richard Tremain caught 7 on catch and release and 2 on catch and kill on green damsels and buzzers. On catch and kill this week were Eric Davey who landed 4, Keith Fenton 2, Pete Hughes 3, Ivor Thomas 4, Harry Webb 2, T. Morris 2, I. Howells 2, John Wall 2, Dave Spencer 2. John Lyall from Thatcham here on his first visit to Bigwell was pleased with his catch of 2 rainbows one of which we have entered into this months Troutmasters competition, John was fishing on a floating line and 4lb leader when he landed his 6lb rainbow. We had the annual visit from some of the Voskresenije choir from Petersburg who are on their annual uk tour and while visiting this area always like to pay a visit to bigwell they had a great days fishing and caught 14 fish between them. We are open seven days a week from 7.30am till dusk.
