Despite all the theories of blue skies, sunshine and lazy days fishing, once again we have found ourselves struggling to beat Mother Nature. We have thrown at the fish our biggest and gaudiest lures, our dry flies and the skinniest buzzers and yet Mother Nature once again has triumphed, only the few with their skills which we cannot divulge have managed to take the bag limit. So here at Bigwell with our ongoing deep underground well sourced waters, which continue to give us an average 52 degrees f 11.11 c, our fish continue to behave in that typical blue skies lazy summer days fashion. However for those who managed to catch, our fish continue to surprise and give our anglers the fight for which our fish are well renowned. Popular flies this week have been not so much a popular pattern but more so a common colour which has been yellow. buzzers, spiders, daddies in fact anything yellow seems to have been the most prolific fly in the water. We are open from 7.30 am till dusk every day.
